MLOVNEY

The art defines my life, and life defines my art. Art itself has accompanied me through various stages and phases of life, with varying intensity and techniques. Artists such as Warhol, Rauschenberg, and Indiana have inspired me since my early youth. Four years ago, I published my first mixed media works, followed by various series in the form of screen prints, mixed media editions, or objects. Looking back four years later, I see hundreds of works scattered across the globe, attracting an international collector base including Jordan Belfort, Conor McGregor, Robin Schulz, Dwight Howard of the Lakers, and many others.

Since May 2023, I have had the honor of being the first German artist to have one of my works represented in the exclusive collection of the New York Stock Exchange.

Over the past four years, I have worked in secrecy on a higher creation, crafting series and individual pieces in various variations and executions. Authentic materials and intricate processes such as hand screen printing have been at the forefront.

MLOVNEY, a twist of fate

In 2019, I spent several days on the island of Borneo, a pivotal moment that would change everything and become the defining event of the following years.

I remember a tropical afternoon when my partner and I drove into the city of Kota Kinabalu. In front of a mall, I noticed one of Robert Indiana's famous and large LOVE sculptures. After taking a selfie, I looked down and found a banknote at my feet. I picked it up and noticed it was a one-dollar bill. My mind combined Indiana's sculpture with the word "ONE" on the banknote. In one moment, I saw "LOVE," and in the next moment, "MONEY."

MLOVNEY is a kind of composite of the two words, visualizing the creative process of my name as well as the works I have been working on for the past few years.

With this globally unique creation, I have managed to revolutionize the niche of currency art in an unprecedented way, formulating something previously unseen. Iconic, unmistakable, unique. Various works, crafted with different techniques and executions, are waiting to be released in the coming months and years. Using authentic and sometimes antique materials such as securities, iconic comic books, or vintage editions of Forbes Magazine, I place my works in a historical context.

Growth, appreciation & freedom

The one-dollar bill symbolizes growth for me. The appreciation of the small. Everything big, everything true has its origins in the small. From seed to harvest, from caterpillar to butterfly.

In one of the unpublished series, I described a work as follows:

"The path of life is walked step by step. Wealth is built one by one."

My works speak of gratitude, appreciation, patience, diligence, achieving set goals, and the associated success. My art formulates the grateful pursuit of more. It shapes the awareness of returning to one's origins and how small things lay the foundation for something grand.

My art evokes emotions and resonates with many. It motivates and sends individuals on a journey within themselves, awakening hidden desires and the urge to achieve them, come what may! The various combinations of the dollar bill and words like LOVE, POWER, and all other creations place my works in an emotional and debatable context.

It's not about money; it's about the need for freedom, self-realization, and the creation of unforgettable moments.

As an artist, my purpose is to share my visions with the world and inspire people to pursue their dreams and unleash their full potential.
